Lotus x Orian Glass – Octovape

A maze for your vapor, designed specifically for the Lotus.

Handcrafted by Orian Bouhuys from Orian Glass, Octovape brings his signature winding glass style into a compact piece built around the Lotus.

Inspired by an octopus tentacle, the design contains more than 14 inches of narrow tubing, creating a long, twisting vapor path that keeps the vapor condensed while allowing for an exceptionally long draw. The curves also make the piece surprisingly comfortable and engaging to hold.

Its intense transparent green is made from North Star Experimental Green combined with clear Schott glass through Orian’s coil-potting and sleeving technique.

Hidden opals appear throughout the maze and are incorporated into glass bridges that connect and reinforce different sections of the piece. The result may look delicate, but the network of welds adds strength throughout the structure.

Part pipe, part sculpture and part vapor maze — Octovape is one of those pieces you can keep discovering every time you use it.
